These days, anyone can own a drone.
But capturing shots that actually move people, that takes more than just flying.
Up there, everything shifts. The drone sees the world differently than we do. Done right, it gives us a new perspective. Not just a pretty view, but a feeling, a new point of view.
Baja looks wild from the ground. From above, it’s something else entirely. Endless. Textured.
Flying here just hits different. Maybe it’s the way morning light rolls across the dunes, or how the sea turns to glass before sunset.
But it’s never just point-and-shoot. It’s reading the wind. Scouting dry creek beds. Watching how the cliffs catch the light.
And when nature flips the script—as it always does—it’s knowing how to adapt without missing the shot.
Drone Filming for Various Productions
We’ve done aerials for all kinds of productions — documentaries, commercials, tourism campaigns. From slow reveals of cliffside beaches to dynamic tracking shots of motorbikes ripping through the desert.
Sometimes we shoot from boats. Sometimes we hike gear up a mountain at 4am for 20 seconds of footage. It’s all part of the job.
Using the Environment to our Advantage
Our drone operator, Jesús, wanted to share an experience that perfectly captures the nature of filming in Baja. He was working on a shoot in Los Cerritos Beach, where he encountered a pack of wild dogs that wanted to chase his drone and bite it anytime it landed. Frustrating to say the least.
Jesús was taking sunset shots of the waves crashing when the battery went low, and he had to find a place to land. He tried elevating and landing far away, but realised the dogs were chasing the drone and ran directly in front of where the shoot’s main camera was operating, also capturing the sun hitting the horizon.
A call came on the radio, and Jesús was sure he was fired for ruining the director’s shot. But, to his surprise, they loved having the dogs in the frame and wanted them to do it again. For the next hour, Jesús baited the dogs with his drone to run in front of the crashing waves, and the shots turned out amazing.
Capturing Perfect Aerial Moments in Baja

That’s the thing about Baja. You can’t fight nature here. You have to work with it. And when you do, it rewards you.
We’ve flown across the desert in the Mogote, dodged cacti and tracked ATVs kicking up sand. We’ve shot slow-motion flyovers of whales off the Pacific coast. And we’ve done it all while keeping things safe, legal, and above all — cinematic.
Our team flies with the proper permits and knows the airspace restrictions. We scout in advance, talk to the local fishermen, the port captains, the ranchers. Our team doesn’t just fly in and out. We listen, adapt, and take pride in how we show our region.
The Best Drone Filming in Baja
Drone footage isn’t only B-roll. Done right, it sets the tone. It gives scale. It creates moments of pause in a fast-paced cut. And in Baja — with the way the desert meets the sea, and the sun seems to rise and set in slow motion — those moments come naturally if you know how to look.
So whether you’re bringing a national campaign, a doc series, or just an ambitious brand film to Baja, we’ve got you covered from the sky.
